Every version, automatically sorted

Drop in a new file and Sound Credit knows exactly what it is, grouping it with the right track and versioning it for you, with no renaming or sorting required.

No more “Final_Final2_Master.wav”

Sound Credit uses AI to recognize file relationships based on names, metadata, and behavior. You don’t have to rename or reorganize, just drop the file in, and it lands right where it belongs. Your version history builds itself. (Don't worry, your audio and data are never used for AI training.)

Works while you work

If you're using Desktop Sync, AI version detection runs in the background. Bounce a new version into your folder, and it's automatically versioned in your project. No extra clicks. No extra thinking.

Organized, traceable, review-ready

Each version can include notes, timestamps, and comments. Compare v1 to v5 side by side, review feedback, and never lose track of what changed, or why. It's version control designed for creative work.

Frequently asked questions

We're here to help with any questions you have about AI version detection.

What does Sound Credit use to detect versions?

We use a combination of filename patterns, metadata, and folder behavior to determine what file belongs to which track.

Do I have to rename files for it to work?

No. It helps, but the AI knows to recognize many patterns like “mix3” or “v2_final.” It can usually sort it out automatically.

What if it assigns a version incorrectly?

You can manually reassign or regroup files at any time. You’re always in control.

Is AI detection only available on desktop?

No. It works when you upload through web or desktop. But for automatic versioning with no clicks, the Desktop Sync applet is ideal.

Does it listen to the audio to determine versions?

No. Your audio is never scanned, analyzed, or used for AI training. We rely only on safe metadata and naming logic.

Is this the same as stacking versions manually?

It’s better. The AI saves you time by avoiding manual grouping, especially helpful for projects with lots of revisions.

Can I add version notes or tags?

Yes. You can include a description, review comments, and even link timeline markers to each version.
